Fabian Fernandez is a business executive with several years of leadership and technology experience working with SMEs and large companies based in North and South America from diverse industries like Surfing, E-commerce, and Logistics. His areas of work include Leadership, Strategy, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Innovation, and Technology. Additionally, he has an Executive MBA from IAE Business School, one of the best schools in Latin America.
He started his career as Software Developer and founded his first of five companies at 21 years old. Pum! and Kaikaku have failed, Kaizen Softworks and vOpen continue to grow and he has moved from CEO to Board Member where he helps with general direction and strategy. He is currently working full-time in his new venture, Lineup, where he can mix his passion for Surfing, Technology, Business, and Innovation.
Fabian has strong network relationships and business acumen. Additionally, he has been a community leader from 2013 to 2020, empowering tech communities in several countries. Due to his community leadership, he has been awarded and recognized six consecutive times as Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) and received the Microsoft Regional Director award in 2019 for his technology & business leadership, less than 200 people in the world currently have this recognition. In mid-2018, Fabian joined the Uruguayan IT Chamber (CUTI) as Board Member to help Uruguay develop and grow its IT industry.
When he is not working or studying, he enjoys spending time with family, friends, and connecting adrenaline with nature through surfing.
